Tuscany wine tour:
SATURDAY Afternoon:
The group is collected at Fiumicino airport (Rome) and taken to S.Cristina castle, where a welcome drink is ready for the guests.
Evening: Dinner at S.Cristina.
SUNDAY Morning: Free
Afternoon: Welcome by the wine expert (sommelier) that will tutor and guide the group throughout the week. The sommelier will give a first general lesson introducing main issues about Italian wine,wine tasting basics and some hints about the next days visits.
Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant.
MONDAY Morning: After breakfast the group will leave for Southern Tuscany. Visit of St. Antimo Abbey (XII cent.) near Montalcino. Tour at the vineyards of the biggest wine producer of Montalcino “Villa Banfi”, including a visit of the cellar house and a wine tasting session of the main products that will end with a light lunch.
Afternoon: Again in the same area the group will visit the products of a smaller but not lesser wine producer. Visit of the town of Montalcino.
Evening: Dinner at S.Cristina.
TUESDAY Morning: The group will reach Pienza in Tuscany, visit of the enchanting renaissance town. Transfert to the nearby town of Montepulciano. Visit of the Redi cellars, a unique example of XVI century cellars still used today. Wine tasting in the old cellars with the main wines of the biggest cooperative producer and a light lunch
Afternoon: A short tour of Montepulciano and a visit to a main producer of the local “vino nobile”.
Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant (Acquapendente).
WEDNESDAY Morning: Lesson about wine-cheese matching, with different kinds of cheeses and wines. Light lunch at S.Cristina
Afternoon: Lesson about matching wines and desserts. Special Event (for groups not less than 10): in the fascinating surroundings of the castle a group of flag throwers in medieval dress will do a unique performance for the guests sustained by the sound of drums and trumpets.
Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant specialized in cooking fish. Wine matching.
THURDAY Morning: Short tour of Bolsena, visit of the Monaldeschi castle and the famous Basilica of S.Cristina with the annexed catacombs. The group will then reach the vineyards “Villa Puri” located in a fantastic place overlooking the lake. The following wine tasting will end with a light lunch on a terrace with a breath taking view,at a nearby farmhouse property of the vineyard owners.
Afternoon: Visit to Falesco, an italian award winning estate far the famous red wine “Montiano”. Description of the wine making techniques used in the local vineyards. Wine tasting of the awarded products of the estate. Visit of Montefiascone and the church of S.Flaviano.
Evening: Dinner at a typical restaurant in Viterbo.
FRIDAY: Morning: A short tour of Orvieto with a visit to the famous “Duomo” with its splendid facade enriched by precious medieval mosaics and later to the S.Patrick well a marvellous piece of engineering and architecture. At lunch the group will reach a highly innovative estate, "LaVigna”, where a light lunch will follow the wine tasting will be focused on the white wines produced in the estate.
Afternoon-evening: In the afternoon the group will go back to S.Cristina where in the evening a final gala dinner will be held at the castle, and the wine expert will taste the level of expertise of the guests with a blind tasting session.
SATURDAY: Departure. The group will be taken to Rome Fiumicino Airport.

The groups will need a minimum of 7 participants and will always be based on groups that are multiples of 7 people.
The cost all inclusive of the tour per person is lit. 3.500.000.
